NEARLY 30 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
CHRISTIAN VALUES | STRONG ACADEMICS | COMMUNITY SERVICE | STREAM SYNERGY SCHOOL
SLCS was founded as a parish school in 1992 and has grown to become one of the largest PreK-8th grade schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Religion is embedded throughout the curriculum with a focus on the basic principles of the Catholic faith. Students are taught to be moral Christians and to serve others by focusing on strong character and spiritual development. They are encouraged to be lifelong learners in a challenging academic atmosphere that places an emphasis on problem-solving and analytical skills, which are essential to creating future leaders.
St. Laurence Catholic School (SLCS) is proud to have been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence twice and is recognized as a S.T.R.E.A.M. Synergy School by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. SLCS provides a well-rounded Catholic education based on strong academics, development of social skills, and a commitment to community service. Developing the whole child, body, mind, and spirit in a supportive community is a top priority. Students are provided opportunities to excel in the fine arts, sports, Spanish, STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Arts, and Math) education and enrichment with resources available to meet the needs of diverse learners.
