8th Grade Awards/Reception – Reception for 8th graders that is hosted by 7th grade parents. This is an evening event and volunteers are needed to help with the plating of cookies, cutting cakes, serving the punch, refilling trays, and clean up (Volunteer Needed).
8th Grade Luau – Luau dance for 8th grade. Volunteers are needed to help with planning of decorations, coordination of food, goody bags and invitations. On the day of the dance help is needed to set up after school and clean up after the dance (Volunteer Needed)
Birthday Balloons - You will be the most popular parent on campus when you deliver balloons to the birthday boy or girl. Must be delivered by 8:05 a.m. on both ECC and Main campuses (ECC: Paige Nguyen
Main: Mary Esther Phillippi ).
Box Tops – Program to raise money for SLCS by collecting box tops. Volunteers are needed to collect & sort box top redemptions 4 times a year; organize & provide winning class prizes (Sheri Cass).
Bulletin Board - Fun and informative bulletin board highlighting PTO events/activities throughout the year (Grace Lardizabal).
Carpool – ECC – Carpool assistance to help get children in and out of cars safely. Morning volunteers arrive at 7:30 a.m. to greet and unload students from vehicles; afternoon volunteers arrive at 3:00 p.m. to log carpool numbers of cars in line (AM: Aurora Resuriz; PM: Anna Berger).
Carpool - Main Campus - Carpool assistance to help get children in and out of cars safely. Morning volunteers arrive at 7:30 a.m. to greet and unload students from vehicles; afternoon volunteers arrive at 2:45 p.m. to log carpool numbers of cars in line (PM: Tania Magnabasco).
Family Mass – Annual Family Mass for all school families. Volunteers are needed for this mass held during Catholic Schools Week (Kelly Otero; Allison Grover).
Saints Cinema Grill– Dinner and a Family Movie on the big screen for family night out. Volunteers are needed to help with organization, set-up and clean up for the event (Tanya Merla; Janette Lupus).
Father/Daughter Dance – Fathers and daughters get a chance to have a date night. Volunteers are needed for set-up, decorations, invitations, chaperoning and clean-up event (February) (Volunteer Needed).
Father/Son Hoops & Dogs Event – Fathers and sons get a chance for an active outing. Volunteers are needed to help with planning, set up and clean-up of the event (Fall; Jennifer Reyes).
Field Day - Enjoy a day outside in May with the kids as they participate in different athletic events. Volunteers are needed to monitor stations, serve treats/drinks and cleanup (Elem: Mary Esther Phillippi; MS: Sonhui Chung).
First Friends – Program to welcome new families to St. Laurence and mentor them through the year. Existing families are needed to volunteer to host new families (Nora Sessions).
Grandparents' Day – Special day for grandparents to visit the church and classrooms and watch the children perform. Volunteers are needed for set-up, take down, serve, ushers, greeters, hallway helpers before, during/after event (September; Gabriela Montoya; Karen Offner).
Library Helpers - Assist in the library to process books; re-shelve books on a scheduled basis (Stephanie Limbacher).
Lunch Duty – Help children during lunch. Volunteers are needed to assist children on ECC & Main campus with lunch, including wiping down tables from 10:45am-noon (ECC: Cassie Oppman; Main: Cynthia Bryant).
Marquee - Keep everyone posted on the latest happenings by updating the schools marquee weekly (Amy Bergman).
Prayer Chain – Pray for our school community. Volunteers will receive monthly prayer emails for various needs (Andrea Cashiola).
Red Folders – Help stuff red folders that get sent home on Wednesdays. Meet at the school on Tuesday mornings at 8:15 a.m. to help with organizing the materials for the red folders (Lauren Drapp).
Room Parents – Assist teachers with classroom activities and parties. Volunteers are needed to organize volunteers for class events and serve as the communication liaison between teachers/PTO and parents (REQUIRED to attend Room Mom meeting in September).
Steps for Students – School fundraiser to help with the 5K Steps for Students race benefitting Catholic education (Feb; Shannon Caldwell)
Used Uniform Closet/Lost and Found – Purchase used uniforms on campus. Volunteers are needed to help organize the closet on an as needed basis; once a month clean and organize the lost and found bins on ECC and Main campuses (Reneitte Zezatti).
Workroom - Main Campus – Provide assistance to main campus teachers. Volunteers are needed to help teachers photocopy, cut and laminate as needed (Cristina Dangel).
