Basketball season begins with tryouts the week of October 23rd. Times to be announced
There will be some preseason open gyms the week of October 16th. Times to be announced.
If your child is interested in trying out for basketball please go to the Athletics website and register for basketball. A physical must be on file before tryouts. The physical must be dated after June 1, 2017. The form can be found in the Athletic Forms tab. If you have already turned in a physical this year you do not need to submit another form. You do not need to pay the athletic fee until after tryouts are complete. The website is www.stlaurenceathletics.org
There are other opportunities to play basketball in the area. First Colony Basketball and similar leagues are holding registration now. Most leagues want you to register early and will refund your fees if the child makes the school team. It is a good idea to register if your child would be interested in playing on another team if he/she does not make the school team. We would like to keep everyone but unfortunately, we do have space limitations.
If you are purchasing basketball shoes for the upcoming season please remember the team members are required to wear school colors when they play in a game for St. Laurence, Royal Blue is preferred no neon colors allowed.
The St. Laurence football program is open to all boys and girls 6th -8th grade and is rooted in the principles of Faith, Team, and Heart. Football will begin in the spring with a parent meeting and equipment fittings, practices begin the first week of August with the season lasting through Mid- October. Contact Coach Fucik Gfucik@stlaurence.org for more information.
5th-8th grade girls are eligible to try-out for softball. There is one Varsity team that competes in the GHCAA league in the spring. The team reached the GHCAA finals in 2018 and placed second in the league. The team plays and practices at the Sugar Land Girls Softball Fields off Highway 90.
