With a 32-year history of excellence in Catholic education, St. Laurence Catholic School has served thousands of students and families since it opened its doors in 1992. Many of our Saints spend up to 10 of their most formative years in the halls of SLCS, and many alumni are now choosing to send their own children to learn and grow at SLCS.
As the number of “legacy Saints families” begins to grow, it is becoming more apparent that St. Laurence Catholic School is not just a school; it is a spiritual and educational home.
We invite our current, future, and alumni families to consider membership in the Saints Society. This giving society is comprised of members who desire the legacy of St. Laurence Catholic School to continue for many generations to come. Their commitment to SLCS, its mission, and its vision has them searching for ways to give outside of events and annual fundraising.
Members of the Saints Society have committed verbally or in writing that they wish to support and bless St. Laurence Catholic School by naming SLCS in their will, or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy/retirement plan.
This thoughtful act of philanthropy and stewardship is a show of support that goes above and beyond every day giving, and as such, SLCS wishes to honor them as members of the Saints Society.
Saints Society members will receive invitations to special events throughout the year, including the Circle of Saints reception in the fall and the Annual Donor Thank You event in the spring. They will also receive a special Saints Society Newsletter and be recognized in the Saints Scoop and Spirit Magazine annually.
BEQUESTS TO THE CHURCH OR ITS CHARITABLE CORPORATIONS
A bequest is one of the simplest ways to remember those you care about most. If a person wishes to make a charitable gift by will to the Archdiocese, a parish, Catholic school, or one of the charitable organizations of the Archdiocese, they should follow these steps.
For further information regarding planned giving, contact Jessica Bardin at St. Laurence Catholic School ([email protected]; 281-980-0500) or Michael Schillaci in the Archdiocesan Development Office ([email protected]; 713-652-4418).
