Basketball season begins with tryouts on mid October with games starting in November and go until the end of January. There are no games during school breaks.
If your child is interested in trying out for basketball please go to the Athletics website and register for basketball. A physical must be on file before tryouts. The form can be found in the Athletic Forms tab. If you have already turned in a physical this year you do not need to submit another form. You do not need to pay the athletic fee until after tryouts are complete. The website is www.stlaurenceathletics.org
There are other opportunities to play basketball in the area. First Colony Basketball and similar leagues are holding registration now. Most leagues want you to register early and will refund your fees if the child makes the school team. It is a good idea to register if your child would be interested in playing on another team if he/she does not make the school team. We would like to keep everyone but unfortunately, we do have space limitations.
If you are purchasing basketball shoes for the upcoming season please remember the team members are required to wear school colors when they play in a game for St. Laurence, Royal Blue is preferred no neon colors are allowed.
