Dear St. Laurence Catholic School Visitor,
On behalf of the St. Laurence Catholic School community, let me welcome you to our website. I appreciate your interest in St. Laurence, and I hope you will enjoy learning about the people, programs, and culture of our school. It is my hope that you will find the information contained in these pages both useful and informative. Should you have further questions about any aspect of school life, please feel free to contact me or any member of my staff.
As Catholic educators, we strive always to educate the mind, heart, and spirit in Christ's ways and work within the context of the parent, child, and educator to do what is best for our students. Our school provides a challenging academic curriculum with particular emphasis on the integration of academic subject areas. Our curriculum goes beyond the required state curriculum objectives, providing our students with life lessons about social skills, appropriate decision-making strategies, and living as Disciples of Christ. Our academic program is supplemented with a strong focus on organization and study skills.
Our goal for the children at St. Laurence is that they become healthy, well-rounded children who can be productive members of society. The mission of St. Laurence Catholic School is to promote educational excellence, personal responsibility, and balanced growth and thereby help its students discover and develop their talents and achieve their best potential. The ideas embedded in this mission statement drive our educational programming, the hiring of faculty and staff, the recruitment of students, the determination of the annual operating budget, strategic planning, and the values set forth in our mission statement provide the foundation for all key decisions at the school.
Our students learn from an experienced, dedicated, and enormously talented faculty and staff who challenge, inspire, encourage, and nurture. The generosity of so many in our school community has provided beautiful, spacious, and functional facilities.
Thank you again for your interest in St. Laurence Catholic School!
Enjoy your visit to our website!
God Bless,
Suzanne Barto
